In the end of April 2014 INFO TECH released the tool simulating a network of IEC 61850 server devices, configurable with SCL files (ICD/CID/SCD).

The promotion of 61850 SCL Runner was met with great interest of SCADA and RTU vendors as well as system integrators. The Release Candidate version of the simulator was first presented to our customers during March-April training sessions.

During the year 2013 INFO TECH has gained confidence of 4 new customers who purchased licenses to our libraries implementing the IEC 61850 communication standard.

Some of them ordered also our services to customize and integrate the communication interface software with their products and to perform the necessary final tests. We aim at being a trusted supplier of working solutions, not just a provider of the library code. Our solutions for implementing IEC 61850 servers and clients are now utilized by companies from 10 countries worldwide.

After successful IEC 61850 conformance tests - level A conducted in our office in Gdansk during November 18-21, our customer VAMP Ltd., member of Schneider Electric, received the conformance certificate issued by KEMA Nederland BV on behalf of the UCA IUG for their newest products: VAMP 300 (feeder protection and motor protection relay) and VAMP 321 (arc flash protection system central unit).

These are the next certified devices in which the IEC 61850 server interface was implemented by INFO TECH using the INFO TECH IEC 61850 Software Library.

In August 2013, after successful IEC 61850 conformance tests - level A on 13 protection relays manufactured by VAMP Ltd. - member of Schneider Electric, our customer from Finland received new conformance certificates issues by KEMA Nederland BV on behalf of the UCA IUG (VAMP 257 and VAMP 259, VAMP 5x series, VAMP2xx series).

In all certified devices the IEC 61850 server interface was implemented by INFO TECH using the INFO TECH IEC 61850 Software Library. Compared to products versions from 2011, the data models and the sets of supported communication services were extended. The tests were carried by KEMA testers hosted in the INFO TECH premises in Gdansk during 22-30 July 2013.
